Tamron 17-50 f2.8, Sigma 18-50 f2.8 or Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5?

I believe the quality control issues were related to Sigma's 18-50 2.8 not their 17-70 2.8-4.5. If it was the constant f/2.8 I was after, I would have went with the Tamron, but I wanted the range more with the semi-marco. I do plan to build up my collection of primes for low light settings.

i went with the sigma 17-70. i've read alot of good things about it. it offers more range and the quality/price is very good.

there's more QC issue with the sigma 18-50.

I got the sigma it really was good, only thing to be sure of is test out on there before bringing it home.
