Okay,

I'm looking around (online) at lens and come across this 35-350mm ...what do any of you know about it?

I asked this not too long ago. I think it could be kinda handy, but probably isn't the type of quality you would expect from an L through the entire range. It's probably really good for just about everything, but probably doesn't really shine in any one area.

It is a great lens - I call it my paparazzi walkaround lens. Sometimes the range of this lens is what you need to cover the variety of shots you may encounter. I have found it to be "L" sharp throughout its range. It suffers from having an older version of USM, and its replacement, the 28-300 L added IS as well as the newest USM focus mechanism.

I still love my other lenses in this range, though.

Have Fun,

Rick
