I'm looking around (online) at lens and come across this 35-350mm ...what do any of you know about it?

I think it could be kinda handy, but probably isn't the type of quality you would expect from an L through the entire range. It's probably really good for just about everything, but probably doesn't really shine in any one area.

Sometimes the range of this lens is what you need to cover the variety of shots you may encounter. I have found it to be "L" sharp throughout its range. It suffers from having an older version of USM, and its replacement, the 28-300 L added IS as well as the newest USM focus mechanism. Rick
