Anyone on the east coast try to get a lightning shot last night? I thought about it because it was largely noise with terrific lightning and longish breaks in the rain.

That's bad luck Ed. I noticed a link to shutterstock in your signature. Does it work well for us Aussies?

Hi all.

I just posted a rather lengthy review of the Crumpler The Whickey And Cox backpack if anyone is interested.

This morning I'm in the Club and wanting a drink early.
I got up 4.30am to leave on a delivery trip in the Mitzy Express van. Yesterday it was locked and loaded ready for my early start.... but overnight I've been scum-struck.
A screw-driver job on the door lock and they were in, on the street out front of our home. Luckily the steering lock worked, they only rolled it a couple of houses further along the road and took stuff. Top of the list, a $3000 new electric scooter (the sit on type for the senior citizens).

I've been on the phone a lot about "the incident", mostly on hold, but basically I'm stuck here at home waiting on general duty cops to sight/write the van up as recovered. Technically, the Help-line phone center had to tick the box and say it was stolen, if only briefly, and they can't un-stole it, only police can. Rules is rules, otherwise the phonebank workers would be psuedo-police and the courts (and the union) won't allow that.

The big piece of luck was that my large tripod was in a canvas bag right there between the seats where a consul box would be in a car. They left it. My binoculars, not touched. My 20 dollar sunnies thrown out and my loose change stolen. :)

Gotta look on the bright side.
Yesterday a funeral, last night a break-in.
