anyone watching

"timothy greenfield sanders - thinking xxx" on SBS tonight? its about his porn star portrait project, interesting insight in to old school photography, he was using some ancient light box with A4 size negatives, aside from the porn aspect it was very interesting.

Hey Michael,

Sunrise shoot sounds good. Saturdays usually work best for me, but tomorrow morning is goooone (wedding at Wollongong). Maybe next week for me.

SBS thing sounds a bit dubious ... pity it has to be porn-related, or I'd consider watching it.

Cool. Glad it was tasteful. Bit early for SBS to be airing that sort of thing ;-)a

My tripod comes with one (see gear list) ... apart from that, no idea sorry.

But if you're wanting to do panoramic shots with it, most panoramic heads (like the Panosaurus, http://gregwired.com/pano/Pano.htm (external link), which I just ordered) come with a built-in level. I've only needed the level for panoramas ...

Interseting looking Pano head let us know how it preforms.

At the moment I just need a hotshoe level.

i just got the manfrotto one, its small, perfect just a little pricey at like 36 USD

Yeh thats the sort of thing I need, The Hama one looks very similar and is a shade cheeper($55 ish) the Manfrotto in AU is arround $70, I could only find 1 place in Au that sells it.
I would also love to do a shoot with some photo nuts but being car less slows me down in that respect.

How long before your next order Michael? I might be after a Hoya Pro 1 UV filter if that's OK? :)

I took a trip to the Brisbane Motor show this morning. Here's a couple of Motor Show girls having a laugh at the brass band that was singing to them.

I also checked out the wakeboarding and was easily able to get a front row seat for the qualifying, might be different tomorrow though for the final. Really needed the 400 to get the action in the middle of the river. Crud Freeway background though.
