Hello!

Thought I'd take a sec and introduce myself - new to this forum, and forums in general come to think.

I'm in Launceston, Tasmainia. Moved here nearly two years ago from Sydney. STill not quite sure why, I'm sure it has something to do with real estate prices - but Launceston is a beautiful place to live.

I opened a small photographic business a year ago with my business partner - up until this point we have been mostly weddings, however we are in the process of opening a portrait / glamour etc studio - fingers crossed the opening date is 1st of december.

Studied fine art at uni, mostly photographic based and have worked in numerous photo labs, my last job was with a soul destroying macdonalds style family portrait company (who shall remain nameless) - until i came to my senses and opened my business.

Look forward to future discussions and sharing the love.

Naomi

Hi to the new arrivals!

Naomi, you appear to be living the photographic life most of us dream of. Well done.

Anyone know where to buy Crumpler bags in Oz? I'm keen for their mega-size backpack and am trying to avoid paying a full $350 ...

Cheers.

I bought mine from the outlet on Oxford St. in Sydney, paid full price ($300 :()... couldn't find anywhere online which would sell them for notably less.

Locally I noticed that Domayne at Kotara has just put up a stand of Crumpler bags - try giving them a ring and see what they can do for you...

I was just thinking it would've been good if we could've had a public poll on this thread showing the numbers and people in each state.

NSW is way out in front. Have to do something about that.
