Fair enough ... I wish I could afford that sort of upgrade ;-)a You sure you're not going to miss the 24-70? You'd have to take mine from my cold dead fingers ...

Do we have many Adelaide base PTON users?

I have been trying to chip into this thread from time to time but I have to say it seems a bit "clicky". I'm ok with that, but would appreciate someone advising me on how to earn my strips, so to speak. I'm not professional but really falling in love with photography and I need something to fill my Saturdays as I'm retireing from cricket after 25 years.

Regards
Andrew

PS: Just picked up an EF 50 1.4 after returning a EF 28-135 IS USM that I splurged on Friday. I was looking for crisp and got dark and detailess with the 28-135. Can't say that about the EF 50 1.4 boy is that a crisp and sharp lens, one I think i'm going to appreciate more and more.

Welcome Matt & Andrew.

OMG my ebay battery grip broke last night. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and get a genuine canon one. Just hope I can find one before my flight tomorrow! :(

Try DD Ed

Hi guys and welcome to newer members.

Andrew: That 50 f/1.4 is a dream - a bit tight on closeups at 1.4 but great to play with.

Thanks for the welcome and I look forward to chipping in more often now.

I guess it's ok to grab the Aussie logo now.

So far the 50 F1.4 is hitting the spot but as with any lens choice I do miss the flexability of a zoom.

Cheers
Andrew

That's what yer feet are for, mate ;)

Never be afraid to chip in - you will often feel ignored but don't sweat it - no-one else does and, quite often, you get replies...

Most of us tend to wander around the whole site so you are quite likely to see us 'out there'. If we post something we tend to be a bit proud of, we link it in here so others get to look and comment. The Brissy guys and gals are very active and you will see a lot of stunning stuff from them.
