Good luck on the fast fours, I did a shoot 2 years ago in Melbourne and sent them 200 photos and never had one printed

Hi Guys,

I got a Metz 60 CT-4 from eBay, but the batteries were stuffed.

I have tracked the batteries down locally, from batteryworld.com.au. They are Sonnenschein A500 p/n 07895390 and retail for $79 each. The only difference is that they don't have that plastic ridge that stops you putting them in the charger the wrong way.

Stores are at :
Ballarat,VIC
Beenleigh, QLD
Brookvale, NSW
Bundaberg, QLD
Capalaba, QLD
Hilton, SA
Osborne Park, WA
Wallsend, NSW

Just thought someone out there might want batteries as well....

Thanks for the tip about the Watagans. Will have to take a closer look and check to see if I can make it there. Used to live on the Central Coast and spent a lot of time up at the Watagans on the fire trails in the Land Rover I owned at the time.

What bites is I live on the beautiful Central Coast and will be down in Western Sydney which I hate  .

Do we have many Adelaide base PTON users?

I have been trying to chip into this thread from time to time but I have to say it seems a bit "clicky". I'm ok with that, but would appreciate someone advising me on how to earn my strips, so to speak. I'm not professional but really falling in love with photography and I need something to fill my Saturdays as I'm retireing from cricket after 25 years.

Regards
Andrew

PS: Just picked up an EF 50 1.4 after returning a EF 28-135 IS USM that I splurged on Friday. I was looking for crisp and got dark and detailess with the 28-135. Can't say that about the EF 50 1.4 boy is that a crisp and sharp lens, one I think i'm going to appreciate more and more.

Hey Andrew.....welcome to the forums. I'm in SA but pretty far from adelaide (~4 hours) so not sure if I'd be of any help!?

OMG my ebay battery grip broke last night. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and get a genuine canon one. Just hope I can find one before my flight tomorrow! :(

How/where'd you break it? Got a pic to see how to avoid breaking mine? :)

Hi wrxflame,

The "cliquishness" is pretty much an issue of POTN population distribution and initiative I think. Us Newcastle people don't often organise anything, mostly likely cos we're boring sods (or is it just cos we're too busy ;)).

Hope you can get some POTN action going on in SA :-)

How'd you score that job?

I signed up with an events agency and they ring me with jobs they want covered. The last one was ANZAC Day and I was squashed in the press pit with a bloody big TV camera trying to block my view (kicking his tripod from time to time sorted THAT one out), a MEDIA jacket on and rain dripping off the 5D and 24-70.

That's the second ANZAC Day in a row the 24-70 has copped it.
