All good stuff - it's the challenge that makes it worthwhile, I reckon. One of the kiwis had a trot with high ISO shots last night - he did bloody well, too.
I have watched you Brissie guys and the stuff you are shooting - I reckon you should look at escalating the 50 1.4 - as a model lens, I love it. (Not that I saw anything wrong with the model pics you peeps were taking). Depending on the 'mood' I need for the picture, I can go tight DOF/low light/closeup or the reverse. Grain or no grain. Very versatile. I did a posed series for a lass a while ago where we lit it with candles. I used the 85 1.8 and the 50 1.4 - the 50 nailed the effect we wanted.
Neat Image - well, yes, I need to learn more with that, too. I downloaded the noise profiles for it - but I quite often find that I can batch the process fairly well and let it recreate the noise profiles per shot - then fine tune as required. I did a christening in a fairly dim country church. NI batch first then CS2 batch after I had looked at a sample and taken the readings for the adjustments I wanted. The client was expecting maybe 10 shots or so - they bought nearly 100. I am hoping for the same with the ANZAC Day dawn parade shots.
