Ahh..haha hmm if these two are who I think they are, I know them already, from a different (non-photography related) forum. Small world indeed.

Hey Adam.. whereabouts are you located in Newcastle?

Kinda stretched between Raymond Terrace and Fletcher at the moment.

Not half as much as I'd like. I find it very frustrating to be honest - this time of year the sun goes down before I get out of work, and on weekends I can't think of anywhere to go, or the fiancee's too busy with WoW, or whatever.

Yeah... lately the rain's been my problem - as much as I like the rain it's a pain in the arse for getting out and taking photos in! If only I had more weatherproof gear... hmm.. there's a thought..

Welcome, Adam! Nice to see another Novocastrian around these here parts.

I live in Cardiff. And I'm not loving the rapid arrival of darkness after work either :-(

We'll have to organise a Newcastle POTN meet soon. (We keep on saying it but it never happens. So I've just posted here: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?p=3553769 All Newcastle people must drop in on this thread. Or else.)

Over and out.

hey feng haven't u spent enough money yet? ;) :D

Why don't you just import the 70-200IS? considering our dollar is so high atm.

After the 70-200, start on the L primes :D holy trinity, 35, 85 and 135 :) (i'm 2 lenses away from the holy trinity hahah)

hahah stop being bad heheh...

the 12-24 is a toy lens!!! :)

70-200 yeah... not 100% sure that's going to my next lens now :| not enough reach? not sure...

I have an 85L already (permanent loan)... don't know how much I'd use 35 much... but a 135 would be nice :) the 50L would be pretty unused considering how unused my 50 f/1.4 is at the moment. :|

I live in 'the Hills District'. As for the airport pictures, I took them during driving to get my learners hours up (half way there). I drove to the airport and decided to take my camera along. :D

Ok im in Eastern Sydney. Bloody hell these learners are giving me the ****s. I have only done 9 Hours lol need to get up 41. Oh well i got 5 Months to do it anyway!

So you forced one of your parents to sit in the car while you went plain spotting? Good on ya! :D

but a 135 would be nice

135L! You know you want to.. ;)

Mind you, what's the main thing you want the longer lens for?

that's the problem Jim... I don't know.

See a 70-200 on a 1.6x crop with potentially a 1.4x tele is nice and long...

But on a FF camera, it "may" be a bit short? not sure you see. :|

I know i'd love the 70-200 for weddings etc (if I was to go down that way) or candids of my daughter as she grows up... but if I go down the sports line more, there won't be enough reach..

was thinking getting a 100-400 and a 135 or something (and a 180 macro and selling the 100 macro).

not sure :|
