Hey everyone,
While we're on the subject of selling stuff... I have a Genuine Canon BG-E2 battery grip that fits 30D and 20D(?) that I'm going to sell. Was gonna put it on ebay, but thought I'd check here first. It's basically brand new, not a scratch on it. I just don't find it as useful as I thought it would be. Looking for about $200 but I'll accept reasonable offers...

CIDER - You weren't at the Grand Prix in Melbourne earlier this year were you? I remember talking to a guy who had a 300 f4 who said he was from Sydney and shot similar motorsport to what you have on your website...

Hey cider, no worries, just thought I'd check... I've always wanted to get to a few more race weekends, do you find it difficult to get access to good areas for photos? I've never really been to much accept the grand prix, and that was pretty ords for photos. Do you need any kind of media accreditation? Cheers.

BTW, everyine, I think I've got a sale on that BG-E2, so it's off the market for now atleast...

I have only been to the outer sydney tracks ie Eastern Creek, Wakefield Park and Oran Park, they are all pretty good for spectators, if you have media accred for Oran and Wakefield Park it simply gets you a few metres closer and some areas where spectators cannot get to, Eastern Creek however definately benefits if you have media access as the track is so big and the way the track is designed alot of racing is done where spectators cannot get to, also with EC being so large you have to really consider the suns position and plan your day so it is always behind you, having media access definately helps with this also, but generally speaking you can still get good shots from spectator areas.

Some more details on this APEC Related training drill on Saturday 21st July 2007.

Ok some more details (All from reliable sources who are directly related with the event from within RailCorp and the NSWFB):

Starts around 8am. Only several (3-4) media representatives will be allowed trackside to photograph-video the drill itself and it is then their responsibility to distribute it to other media ajencies who may be interested. This is due to recent safety issues on the tracks around NSW, Railcorp will be giving some training to those media representatives in track safety etc. However if its only appliances/police vehicles/ambulances etc you are after they are not restricting that at all. I also expect some limited shots of the exersize will be possible from "behind the police lines"

Staging for appliances/police will be around Observatory Hill (City side of the Harbour Brigde) and York St in the City (Wynyard Railway Station area) The Pushbike path over the bridge will be closed however the walkway on the other side will remain open. The drill itself will revolve around the Harbour Bridge and Wynyard Railway stations in the event of a major railway incident during APEC.

Trains in and out of Wynyard and Milsons Point will NOT be disrupted.

I will be there from around 8am onwards.
