Alright, I've decided that I will offload my 50mm 1.4 and 580EX - if anyone's interested PM me with an offer. Both are in pristine nick. I'll post in Forsale with pics within about a day.

Hey Jim, what's the rationale behind ditching your 580EX? Just curious ...

I'm curious about the 580 II, basically.. no way am I going to be without an external flash. I'm not going to sell if the price is too much less than what I paid for it as the upgrade isn't that impressive that I actually need it. It's more a case of want and curiosity in regards to fooling around with the auto thyristor, wouldn't mind a better battery door, faster recycle time wouldn't go astray, a metal shoe would be nice.. eh, just small things.

My reasons are vague, I think I'm just in the mood to buy something newish to fiddle with and this is a possibility of not spending too much money to "upgrade" and get something new to play with :p It must be that it's tax return time...

I don't normally post in here, but I thought I'd let you know I posted some pics I got around Richmond and Abbotsford a few weeks ago:

Hi everyone
Well I've got dust on my sensor and am just wondering if the Copper Hill Wet/Dry Sensor Cleaning Kit for $75.99 from stu over at Quality Camera would be the way to go.

Yep :-)

Start by hitting it with a rocket blower first (not compressed air), and if the dust doesn't move, give it a dose of Copper Hill.

Man... they've really improved the lighting in the local venues over the past week (all at once, for some reason) - a good night to be out shooting bands!
