Welcome to more WA members. Seems to be more and more members in WA! Enjoy.

This morning I missed the Drum clinic because of feebay, but I did get a used 5D -made 1 bid with 1sec to spare. It'll prolly have to be checked/serviced here of course -we'll see. But at least I'll know the condition. Anyway a while after that I met Mr Hirst (no pic). Chit chat about the ol days and a 1978 NYE party here when 2 bands (Mental As Anything and INXS) were Oil's support acts! Then I took pix inside the venue of various stuff. Will PP some tonight. Met a 10/10 model! Pays to have a EOS hat on! (got me EOS cap this week). Attended the rock photog w'shop with 2 connected shooters. Access networking, what you sign and what you don't sign, technique, gear, and other advice on struggle street band shoots --mainly that you gotta love it, 'cause unless its a Press pix for a Band with a label with a cheque book, its generally micro money and don't get off-side with promoters, cause there are loads of amateurs to replace you... most trade papers pay little if anything. They used 300Ds and nifty fiftys to shoot their "early stuff".

Hey Carzee... where was that rock workshop on at? I'd be very interested in talking to some pros in this area, it's something that would be a dream to break into but the chances of doing that and making any kind of money seem rather astronomical.

Anyone coming to the free gig as part of Newcastle Music Week at the Cambridge tonight for photos? I'm going to be there, can't vouch for any of the bands as I haven't seen them before but I presume they're rock.

Sounds like a productive event.
