Blah - in saying all of this the only reason I haven't already quit them is because I built my site through them and I would have top start from scratch. Mind you - at the moment they can't find the back up info for my site.

Did you happen to take a local copy of your site while it was running ? If so, all you need to do is change your hosting provider and upload your site.
If not, yeah, might be a start from scratch thing :(

Cool shot. It was either entirely way too crowded, or they are very good friends. ;)

Seconded - was going to post exactly that but you beat me to it.

Also, depending on how big/complex your site is, I may be able to host a backup of it for you, if you like. Less useful now than a few weeks ago, but still.

Very quiet in here today. I guess everyone is out doing stuff.

Let me explain to all of you interested my idea for the Aussie-Clubbers that want to buy some of Peters big package of gear.

My Idea:
I arrange to buy all of the gear of Peter, on the condition that I can sell the items prior to Peter and me handing over money/gear. I sell the gear at good prices, so I can make a little bit for myself, and so that Peter ends up with the $7500 he wants for all the gear.

So, if we have interested parties for all of the gear that pay, and are willing to wait about a week for the gear to ship then we might have a working system

Let me know what you all think...

Cheers

Michael Hossen

Depending on price I may be interested in the 5D - any ideas on how much you'd split that for?

I am having sooooooooo much fun with these new flash triggers... they're not as accurate as the V1 one I had but they're only missing less than 1 in 10 and I can live with that for the price :p

Execution wasn't perfect (need more lighting on the blades) but I'm having so much fun I don't care :p

What's your attraction to the light meter?

I am slowly starting a strobist style kit with 550EXs and 540EZs and wouldent mind a meter to help. I have used them a fair bit and really liked using them.

OK, everyone. None of this is solid yet. I still have to discuss stuff. The gear is for sale on the condition that I get payments from everyone prior to me swapping money for gear with Peter in Perth. So I want to organise it for about 3 weeks from now, and everyone must pay prior to that date. After all the cash is received I will get the gear from Peter and ship it to the buyers. So basically if you buy now, you wont have to pay until all the gear is taken, but you will have to commit to buy, and pay on the day that I will state later, probably in 3 or so weeks.

Cheers

Do we have any form of protection if (And i doubt it would happen) Peter doesnt ship to you? Or are you meeting with him in person?
