1 Love the ballons in the BG as it becomes blown out white...I mean you made a blown out bg look good ;) Kudos! you also managed avoid glare on the boy's glasses, nice work on that, though he doesn't seem to happy your taking his pic :)

2 Classic portrait, Eyes VERY sharp, Great DOF as well.

nice shots!

nice shots!

I have used this ballons (or flower) trick whenever it presents itself , and it usually presents itself in outside parties and weddings and I never use a flash on these kids...most of them have sensory issues and the flash causes some problems. I use the 70-200 lens to stay back far enough so they usually don't see me shooting..as far as the not happy look, again at least half of these little buddies are absolutly overwelemed by large groups of people and spend much of their time here "shell shocked"....My grandson Myles is the same...even in a resturant if it gets too crowded the hands go over the eyes and it's time to leave...(I've had to leave pie from Moody's Dinner behind many times!!) Thanks for the comments and looking!!

Both excellent shots but #1 is outstanding. The background is terrific with such crisp foreground. Very nice shots of some very great kids. The smile in #2 certainly counters the apparent dismay in #1.

Hey, that second one is awesome.. I spent three years looking after disabled kids in the community and another three in institutions, I wish the kids had more nice photos of them than they do. Nice shots.

Thanks Dave..Dismay...that's it exacatly !

Jim G..That's some tough work you have done, and it's not for just anyone...That make you a special person in your own way...and sometimes a thankless job unless you count the feelings of your own heart...I try and get photos of every kid that shows up and send them to their famlies...some of the photos you have to look a little harder for the less aparent beauty...but it is almost always there...I don't post some of these,,perhaps I should... Thanks Jim G.........

Thanks for posting your pics Peachman. I was not able to attend our walk due to a sore back. I was so looking forward to getting some pictures. At least I have your wonderful shots to cheer me up! :)

These are really nice. I love the colorful background on the first one and the expression on the little girl's face. Lovely children.
