Just saw the 5D up at Costco.com and it's really expensive. I was surprised. With tax and all, it's way over what you can get at B&H. Just has the amazing return policy going for it.

I have always found a huge disparity in camera gear across the internet and stores, it really does pay to shop around

B&H had the 5D today and with the psaug code, it's under $2800 for the body.

$2799, no? Probably still over $3k at a regular retail store.

Which is better, ya know? Being able to return it after you've used the hell out of it, or saving money?

It is a great deal, I wish it was on the 1d MK II N because $600 off would have been nice.

And if you purchase and DSLR camera from B&H, they are offering a $200 instant rebate when you buy Adobe Photoshop CS2 within 30 days of your camera purchace. (which is great for someone like me just starting up!) :)

Of course, you could always download CS2 via a torrent...but, that's not cool.

I placed my order for a Canon 30d, two lenses, and a flash from B&H on Sunday night. I got an e-mail saying my order had been submitted. I grew suspicious when the order didn't ship on Monday so I just called B&H and learned that my order was on hold to verify my identity. I understand the need to hold some orders, but I didn't get a phone call from B&H so if your order hasn't shipped yet you should call B&H and ask about your order status. I hope my order ships today.

This is standard practice for B&H when making large purchases. Its actually a good thing overall, think Identity theft  Congrats on the order ;)
