Question - Does the 430EX come with a red USA warranty card, or a blue international card?

I bought my 430EX from B&H, and my invoice shows that I purchased a USA model. But on Canon's rebate site, it says that I have to include a copy of the USA warranty card. No problem for the 30D, is the red card, but my 430EX has a blue card.
-Keith

edit - Weird, the warranty sheet has a section watermarked "USA only". I guess I'm safe. Calling B&H to make sure, though.

I believe the flashes have the blue (paper) cards. Send it in, it should work

My 580EX usa has a blue paper type warranty card. The flashes if I recall also lack the serial no. on the box.

The blue card is what you send in, the serial number is on the front of the flash I believe

Flip the flash head up, and look on the bottom of the actual flash head. You'll see the serial number down in the middle.

Actually it's a copy of the blue card and the actual UPS & Serial No. from the box.

Apologies if this was previously asked, but when buying the 2 qualifying items for the double rebate, you don't have to purchase both from the same source at the same time do you? Thanks in advance.

No you do not, as long as they are from "Canon approved retailers", you are ok buying from different places at different times

Thanks Calico - appreciate the quick response!

From a tax/business standpoint I may have to spread the purchase out - one item before year's end, the other after Jan 1. This is good to know. - Stu

no problem, just remember to make copies of everything, canon is notorious for screw ups with rebates

1. I pre-registered on line when I got my 5D and 430EX. Printed out 2 copies of that form because Canon said to include that form in the rebate package.
2. Filled out the forms I got on line because the B&H yellow ones were too dim to copy.
3. Made a copy of the warranties all filled out properly.
4. Cut out the complete UPC symbols from the boxes using an exacto knife so I didn't have to destroy the boxes.
5. Made a copy of the UPC symbols and taped the originals to the form about which UPC symbols to include.
6. Put my name & address label on that form because it doesn't have a place for that.
7. Made a copy of the B&H invoice form with prices, dates, etc.
8. Double checked to make sure all the forms were in there and nothing was loose.
9. Put everything in a larger than normal sized envelope, using shipping tape to secure.
10. Double check the address is correct. Weighed the envelope and put proper amount of postage on it.

In the mail it goes this morning 11/30/06. Let's see if Canon messes things up for me this time.
