I sent in my forms too. Though, I stapled, not taped, the UPC's onto the forms. I know they received them, cuase I sent them registered/return receipt. Got the receipt back...from USPS...so, now, I am waiting for the site to be updated. It would be cool if I got the rebate back, before the 15th. That would mean a 135L or 200L...the race is ON! Otherwise, I shall wait till the spring rebates, and see whether they are 'triple' in nature...or still 'double' for that time period. Who knows.

Do you have to fill in the warranty card to get the rebate? I thought a copy of the original card was enough.

Nope, gotta fill it out with where you purchased it and everything. I suppose you could lay a transparency over the warranty card, fill it out on the transparency, and then copy the two lying on top of one another. There you have it...blank warranty card.

I've gotten away without filling the warranty cards twice. It could be luck though...

I made a copy of the warranty cards, filled the copies out in black ink pen, made a copy of the copy and sent that in. I know, it's because I keep the copy of the original and the original and the copy of the filled out one. Gosh, I'm neurotic. :) And yes, they do want it filled out, it said in the rebate form.

I could have sworn I read everything very carefully and it did not indicate that the warranty cards had to be filled in. I've checked the rebate inquiry site and it shows that it is being processed and I believe if there was a problem with the information submitted there would be red text indicating an error in submission. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Looking at the form

I think you are right. It doesn't say anything about having it filled out. Interesting.

I've never filled out any cards for any rebates? I can't recall every reading that the cards needed to be filled out. That's only in the case of a warranty claim, else there is no need to file those cards.

Just got an email from Canon. My rebate has been processed, and should be sent out/here within the next couple of weeks. I even got the packet that comes with the 5D and higher priced cameras, where you get a few 'benefits' that other's don't. Really excited about this one...!

Now...just to save a little more, and figure out if another lens may be in order...and then cash in on the double rebate again.

The 5D qualifies for priority service...but you have to register the camera to get it.

1) 100 voucher for service.
2) Priority line for calling service.
3) Paid shipping, to/from service.
4) Special email address, and they email you with the latest info. for the camera.

I think that was about it. Once I registered the camera, online, they sent me a packet with all the information.

Ronald, you sold the 5D? and traded for a MkIIN? When did that happen???
