-=Fall 2006 Rebates=- Starting Oct. 15th

Just got an email from Canon. My rebate has been processed, and should be sent out/here within the next couple of weeks. I even got the packet that comes with the 5D and higher priced cameras, where you get a few 'benefits' that other's don't. Really excited about this one...!

Now...just to save a little more, and figure out if another lens may be in order...and then cash in on the double rebate again.

congrats, and its a relief to see Canon getting it right this go round

Hope you had a good time, whilst those of us on the East Coast and north are freezing our gear up....hehe.

I will make it to Hawaii some day...first, a trip to New Delhi, next year...as I have a pay a visit to the motherland (and to introduce the wife to the family there...).

Timeshares are wonderful things...especially when they have resorts in Hawaii...!

Yeah, tell me about it. Time is one thing that just becomes more and more scarce. I haven't been back in 6 years...so, looks like it's time to go, by the 7th year...which would be 2007.

As for pics...yeah, I know...PP takes some time...so, I dunno what you are doing here...start workin' on em -- hehe.

It takes awhile, always does

Still on step 3 of 5 on both my rebates. Been there for about 3 weeks now. And took 3 weeks for it to reach that so it's been a slow process so far, as expected.

^^ Well, you did 'trade' so technically, it is like getting something 'new' even though it's not.

As for myself, I am still waiting...on step 3 as well. I wonder if they send the checks after the rebate program is over? hmm...

so far, seems like everyone is doing alright on their rebate. i'm just waiting for my 70-200IS & 50mm f1.4 to come so i can send in my rebates.

hopefully i will have super tack sharp copies of both lens so i can just cut the box and send the rebate in.

Checked my rebate status online today....

My rebate still showed processing, but today it also included a note: "copy of warranty card not included."

I knew that wasn't true, I send in meticulous records and full 1:1 copies of the warranty cards. This time I even included a note with the 580EX warranty card copy about the lack of serial no. with the UPC code.

So I called the Canon tech support line, which gave me the rebate center number. After speaking with a fellow named Marc at the rebate number, he processed my rebate; sure enough Marc had copies of all my warranty cards scanned in to their system.

So cross my fingers Marc assures me that my rebate will arrive in 4-6 weeks...

dang.. you guys are scaring me with the rebates....
