-=Fall 2006 Rebates=- Starting Oct. 15th

Update, my web ID now list 3 seperate rebates for the fall period...sheesh. In any event, the 3rd and most recent list my rebate as check approved. I'm at stage 4 of 5, now I simply have to wait for them to mail the darn thing. Which I'm betting that won't happen until "after" the rebate period ends.

I would imagine if Canon is on calendar year for reporting such things you'd rather close out the year without giving out rebates to those that took advantage of this seasons promotion.

This will be my 3rd or 4th Canon rebate promotion in as many years...

Apparently I submitted a wrong UPC on my second set of rebates.... I actually sent the wrong one with the first batch and it is being processed just fine. I sent the right UPC with the second set and even wrote them a detailed letter of what was going on.

So does anyone have a phone number for me to call? Or do I just call canon and go through their automated process for this? Ugh and of course the rebate is for the more expensive item... GRRR Canon.

What a quick and easy fix. A guy named Matt was very knowledgeable and helped me out within about 2 minutes. My whole phone call lasted 3 minutes and 41 seconds... from the time I dialed. Kudos to Canon!

My check for $700 will be processed and mailed within 30 days.

As for me, I just checked the site, and I am in step 4. Check is approved...and should be mailed out 'soon.' Looks like that 135L might be in my future...ehehehehehe.

What's the update for? Luckily, my 5D has the latest firmware...so, no need to update it.

Well it took a while but as of today the Canon Rebate inquiry site shows that the rebate for my 30D and 580EX has moved to a check request being processed. Now we'll see how long it takes until it shows approval and then check mailed. At least it shows no errors.
I'll be doing this again once I get my 70-200mm f/4 L and then I can mail in for double rebates on that lens and the 85mm f/1.8 I recently bought.
