This is in the US?

Yes, but my friend in Canada says Canon will offer a similar rebate program there, beginning Oct 13th.

Disappointed it isn't a triple rebates this fall, but hey, beggers can't be, you know. . . .

I may just dig deep and get the 5D this time.

Does anyone know how long the rebates will continue?

I am going to get a 30D with the rebate once they begin and I was hoping that if the rebate lasts long enough I get get it on it again and maybe get a lens of a flash.

Yes, the rebate ends Jan. 15th...since that's 3 months. You have to postmark your rebate forms by sometime in early February, in order to get the rebate.

But, not to worry...save some more, and wait for the Spring '07 rebates...never know, they might be triple/double/etc. No need to rush into anything, if you don't have to...as you can always rent glass, and check to see what works for ya.

California, New York and a few other states have a "usage tax" so that they don't loose tones of money from on-line purchases. Fortunately for us, it’s virtually unenforceable and unless you're buying a 2 million dollar yacht, I can almost guarantee you won't be audited for leaving that section blank.

I've been waiting weeks for these rebates this fall. I was planning to buy a 30D and a new flash. But I may have to go for the 5D now, most print ads state a flash does count this time toward the double rebate. Oh my....goody, goody.
