Having just bought the 17-40 L I cannot imagine how wide the 12mm must be, probably see behind you :)

A photo of this underpass appears in this months Digital Photo magazine. I saw it and thought to myself, "I've seen this before somewhere!" Haha!

most would just walk through the tunnel you have a good eye les ,as for the filters can you not use cokin extension rings stacked up they would move the fiter holder forward but i would not like to say how much vingneting you would get ,just a thought

Another great shot from you Les. One of those WoW moments when I first saw it.

As for filters, you can use a special W/A holder on Lee or Cokin filters but this still wouldn't work on the 12mm due to the spherical front element (which gives the almost 180 deg field of vie). Putting 'extension rings' would result in a completely black rind around the photo.

I find that even on a 24-105mm lens the 'standard' Cokin holder is clear visible at below 35mm as black bands down either side of frame.
