Nice work, lovely model too.......AWOL is still going then? I was a huge fan in the 90's, loved the survival bikes.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the comments. Not sure if it's the same AWOL http://www.awolstunts.com (external link) as these guys are of relatively recent years based in London. The meeting place however is the famous ACE cafe in London which has been going since the 60's.

We have a stunt team and a number of sponsors. Also in the team are bike racers in various categories of which I am one.

Regards,

52k AWOL used to mean Alternative Way Of Life in terms of biking and there was a magzine that was full of crazy bikes, people and events. Some of the people involved moved on to Backstreet Heroes and Streetfighters. I had a look at the site and the writing and the A symbol are the same as the mag was, maybe these is some connection. Anyway cool stuff on the stunts!
Roger.

Hi Roger,

Ah, yes I think there may well be a connection then. In our group, it's (A) (W)ay (O)f (L)ife.... lol but we have a stong link with the streetfighters and one of our photographers is a regular supplier for Streetfighter Magazine and I think also BSH... probably a modern day evolution of the same with some new faces and some old connections.

Thanks anyway.

Also Christyjo2, thanks for comments.

Hi button,

You got the exposure and skin tone nice in these two.

If I were to say anything about them I'd say that the cropping could have been better. The first one shows just the top of the bike and kind of leaves you wanting or expecting more.

The second one may benefit from a tighter crop because of the way her arms are splayed. We know because we were there that she was actually leaning on the bike which is out of the frame but the picture is presented as a portrait (no bike).

I did quite a few like this and cropped them tightly so it was not apparent she was actually leaning on anything. (The ones on my website).
