It was totally illegal, Chris...no cameras are allowed in the Sistine Chapel. But I was so excited to be there, I snuck mine in by putting it over my shoulder, then putting on a dark, heavy sweater over it. I turned the aperture to 2.8 and the ISO to 1600 prior to going in. Then, I flipped the camera facing upwards and snuck off about 50 illegal shots of the whole place.It was pretty dimly lit in there but I was reeally thrilled at the photos I got.

Great story, and I'm glad you managed to get a few shots. It's silly when they disallow photography like that. I guess they are worried that people using a flash will damage the paintings...
