Judging by the question mark, Ed, no not a Tiger Lily, they are a hybrid like the pink with spots we saw at the arboreteum on Navy Pier. only I think the Tiger is yellow with spots. This is a day lily from which I see orange:

The flower I shot was a wild Tiger Lily.

Got it...The leaf texture and shape seem different too. Jim's lily's smoother with no scalloped edges.

How about we go with another Wild Rose, our official Alberta flower. I shot this one minutes before the Tiger Lily on our rec property. Most of the roses were just about spent, but for some reason this fella was just opening up from a dried out bud. The fly liked it!!!
