The 85 1.8 arrived not quite 2 hours ago. Decided my nephew is a good candidate for initial testing.

cdi, ask your nephew to come take a look at my mower. Seems to look like he knows what he's doing and mine is identical to theres. ;) Nice lens, My friend here just got one and he is loving it.

So far I'm liking this lens. I actually bought it for indoor sports, not this stuff...but it can pull double duty.

My 85mm f1.8 should be here anytime now. I've got my look-outs (my kids) watching for the big brown truck (UPS).

As with your shots it looks like this lens will a nice addition to my addiction :). Thanks for sharing.

Thanks all. I'm not doing this lens justice yet but it's proving to have potential for sure.

Thanks Peachman. It's definitely one of those bargains...so few of those anymore.

CDI,
great snapshots there! The 85/1.8 went on my list when I saw what it could do at what price. Portrait, low light, I'm looking forward to it. Cute kid too.

Nice shots! The 85 is an awesome lens... I say it all the time but it's the first additional lens I purchased (the-digital-picture review site sold me on it, easily). A touch long in tight quarters but completely awesome regardless - especially for the price.
