Another couple from my photoshoot with my niece, these are part of her 6 month session. I liked the props, nice and fall like, she kept chasing the apples around her and grabbing them trying to eat them. LOL
Seeing these full length ones I realize I need to invest in seamless paper as a backdrop, I cannot get my white muslin to work at all esp not when I have to transport it and can't hang it properly.
Taken with my new 50mm, continuous lights and backdrop with props. PP work includes fixing white balance and adding some contrast.

CC?

Pictures removed: If you wish to see them, please PM me for a link.

Cute child and some good shots. I like the props too, very colorful. You are right about the muslin though, it's just not working here. I would suggest you get at least one more light of some kind and put it on the background to lighten it up. We've had some success with a flash unit above the background, pointed straight down using a Lumiquest ProMax system to spread it out a bit.

Thanks Dave.
Well the light source is an issue, I have my 2 continuous lights but rigging something above like the flash unit you mentioned is nearly impossible since I took these shots on location - if I could shoot these at home we could rig it, but seeing I went to someone elses house that's not really optimal. I really do think I need to invest in the seamless paper backdrop tho...I'm less and less pleased with the results of the white muslin anymore. I should just go ahead and make the purchase.
I do have another continuous light but it doesn't have an umbrella, pointing that towards the background, you think it would help?
