Ok, I think I made a mistake, buying too many lenses at once. Today, arrived my 10-22mm EFS, 100mm EF Macro and 70-300mm EF IS. I keep swapping them back and forth on my week and half old 30D, it'll have dust on the sensor soon, I'm sure. I'm overwhelmed. Think I need some time off work (and some sunny days).

I'll take the 10-22!! lol... I just got the 70-300 IS myself, only two months after getting my Sigma 17-70!! Nothing like getting three lenses in one day! I'd go nuts. I love my 70-300, and I've tried a friends 100mm macro, and boy is that I wonderful lens. I hear good things on the 10-22 as well. I figure I'll get that or the Sigma's 10-20 for my next lens, which maybe in the spring?? I've got myself on lens buying hold for the next few months anyway. On that note I do plan on getting a flash soon, thinking Speedlite 430, but I don't know much about flashes and what makes one better than the other so I got some researching to do!

Well, the money was there after selling my 3048mm f/10. If I did not spend it now, it would just disappear through the cracks between my fingers. You know how it goes...

Brent

ps Hint- the "3048mm" is made by Meade...

you do know you've got lenses that are often referred to as hidden Ls, don't you?

the ef-s 10-22mm has UD elements, which is usually used for Ls only. it is only not an L because its an ef-s mount; and Ls have to be able to fit ALL eos bodies.
the ef 70-300mm also has UD elements.
the ef 100mm f/2.8 is known to be sharp from edge to edge.

You've done OK, that's a great set of lenses! and of course you're gonna swap them about, you need to practice with each one, right?

Don't worry about dust, just get yourslf a Giottos rocket blower and puff your sensor clean once in a while. I change regulalry between my lenses and as far as I am concerned, dust is a non-issue.

I'll look after the 100mm macro for you ;) Oh, I think that takes care of them all - LOL!
Why not work with one for a week at a time. Changing lenses is to be expected but I find getting used to one lense at a time easier and more efficient. Just a thought.
Have fun shooting with the new toys - look forward to some pics too.

Haha,it's tricky learning some lenses huh:)

Personally i have difficulty learning to use wide angles properly (i've heard most do).
I hope you get some quality time with them soon!

Id hate to be the one that sits and tests each one for perfection.
