Would love to do that drive someday. john20d,gitzo and stuff John, if you are looking to do the drive someday, if you are going south to north, drive through Malibu, but once you're through Malibu, find a highway that cuts over to HWY 101. That will take you straight to St. luis Obispo a perfect midpoint and close to Pismo Beach. From there, connect back up with Hwy 1 and take that all the way north! The stretch between Malibu and St. Luis Obispo isn't appealing, you're more inland and I know if you're from Ohio, you're sick of driving inland! Equipment:
