Can anyone point me in the right direction.
I have a g2 for 3 years TROUBLE FREE but xmas 2003 ohh. When I press menue I canot change anything with the four way switch. all settings seem to be fixed at origional settings. ie I cant change resolution, flash etcsettings etc . Someone said there was a small clock battery inside the camera "where? the time is still showing correct. Do I need to install firmware?

This is my first posting of message.
I must say the G2 was super over the 3 years I had it.

Hi Alex,

Do your "4 arrows" button key is ok? Can you change the focus zone (3 small squares)?

Hi Dan,
Yes it is the 4 way omni selector , the lower button is not making contact, the left, right and top working. I will have to send it in for service to replace switch.

I also tried removing both batteries but no fix.
Many Thanks
Alex

All fixed, just cleaned 4 way switch with blast of compressed air, probably a bit of Christmas cake
