The other night we set up our low budget studio and had some friends over. Now I figured I'd have some friends take a look at what we came out of there with. I set up a Sigma EF-500 DG Super on a tripod to cameraa rigt bounced off the ceiling and wall and triggered by a Quantaray QTB-7400A on camera (I didn't realize I could trigger with the built in flash in manual mode -3 FV!) then for some I had the Sigma fire into a white shoot through to camera left, and a $10 slave flash (from Ritz) to camera right. We had a lot of fun doing this, and I got some experience directing people into the poses we wanted.

Please let me know what you think about the poses, lighting, etc.

Thanks in advance, I have learned so much in the past few months from this site it's unbelievable.

With the lights and setup, I have to say you did a good job with what you had. Nice pictures all of them.

Very cool. How about next time you post a picture of your setup... It would give us a nice idea of what you did.

Thanks for the comments guys, I can probably get a shot of it tonight and post it later on. I appreciate the commets, I plan on shooting some more this weekend and maybe going out to do a little ambient/flash mix ala strobist-like shots.

Ok, here is a "sketch" of the setup. While I was goofing around on lunch at work the other day I thought that I had figured out how to get the built-in flash to trigger the slaves (like without an ETTL preflash) but I must have been confused or something. Anyway the quality and drawing of this pic suck, but I hope you get the idea, I am way frustrated with the setup now. Any questions and I'll be glad to clarify. Anyone else wanna let me know what you think?

Oh yeah, click on the pic to see the flickr version and make it larger.
