That's a real beauty, Dimitri. The composition is superb, so you must have chosen that great place in advance.

Oh yes Stan,i had, nothing left at the last minute any more.:D

I've been planning a shot like this for some time, as there is a stream that I'm quite familiar with that leads out into Lake Michigan. However, the sand texture looks NOTHING like that in your picture, Dimitri. I'm afraid my foreground wouldn't look half as good. I guess I'll just have to make up for it with a better sunset!

I`ll look fw to it Jim.;)

I see you found your magic wand Dimitri?

Gorgeous!

  ,yes Steve, and i hope i will not leave it at home for the next meet.

This is lovely Dimitri, with a good balance. My preference (which would not improve the image) would have been to take a few steps to the left, and have the stream leading from the bottom left corner.

Good work.

You`re right Les,i croped it and indeed it looks better.
The only problem? i lose the ground textures.:(

Very nice Dimitri - as usual.

You even avoided putting your footprints in the sand ripples. I'd try cropping it a little from the right and a bit less on the bottom. The eye seems to flow better... give it a try in Adobe and you will see what I mean.

Is that Arran in the background? Ayrshire has never looked so good since you arrived in Town Dimitri.

Edit:- I didn't realize Meerkat had just said the same thing... doh.

Yer Cousin.

Yes it is Martin, and a big thanks for the kindest of remarks buddy.
As you know, its only my pleasure to show through my lens the beauty of Scotland.

Nice one Dimitri, love the way the golden reflection curves through the photo.

I also thought that it looked like a winter shot at first. It’s stunning. A great capture!

Dan

Dan,i`ve got the 5D and i want to concentrate purely on landscape and maybe some indoor stuff (later on about this),plus i`m thinking of moving into medium format.
For that reason,i don`t want the camera sitting around getting dusty,it has to go.
Its a superb piece of kit but i have no use for it any more.
Eventually, all my 35mm kit will go.:(

Thank you very much for these stunning remarks.:D
