I visited Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (Lancashire, UK) today for the first time and took a few shots... (click images for large version)

Male Mallard, 300F4LIS +1.4TC, 1/500th F8

I should have paid more attention to the signs identifying the birds as there are a few that I haven't identified yet. I'm tempted to take a photograph of all of the signs next time I visit

Isn't 'Martin Mere' where Bill Oddie is at the mo doing the AutumnWatch series?

It's sometimes handy to keep a point & shoot camera on you and whenever you see a relevant sign describing the bird/s take a photo of it

I was there on Sunday and saw Bill and Kate. They were rehearsing. Had the same issue as you with IDs.
