how do i set the strength of my flash in manual mode?

how do i set the strength of my flash in manual mode? i know its possible at Program AE mode.. what about manual mode?

it would be more logical to have a setting for that in manual mode than in Program Ae mode.

In Manual Mode, the internal flash fires at full strength and you cannot adjust it.

An external EX flash such as 420EX or 550EX can be adjusted using Flash Exposure Compensation. +2 is full power, and you can go down from there to -2.
