nutcracker!

This one seems somewhat better. Lighter than I'd like, though.

the leaves are too in the way so it's distracting. the bird is nice and composition just wish the leaves weren't in the way

so do I, but we take 'em as we can get 'em. I'm convinced the birds arrange themselves in such a way as to frustrate photographers. <g>
what I found interesting in this shot was the way the bird positioned the nut and grasped it with his feet.
For as many acorns as they ate in the three days that they took to empty the tree, they certainly did seem to be in constant motion.
