Waiting on the well known understanding exposure, but how about this one. I picked it up and it seemed pretty good.

Its also very good. There is a lot of redundancy with Understanding Exposure but repetition is a good thing.....I've read them both many times and learned something new each time!

It's a good book, especially for those who are new to digital photography. He also has a new one called Beyond Portraiture: Creative People Photography that's very good as well.

I have both of these books, got the "Understanding Digital Photography" first (due to being unable to locate Understanding Exposure). They are both excellent books.
Strangely enough, i wasn't as excited reading the second one and maybe that's due to the redundancy factor as pointed out by sugarzebra??
Don't let that put you off though, as i said ^, they are both excellent books. :D

I read Understanding first, then Exposure; enjoyed them both and agree with the comments about the redundancy between them. (I also watched his video http://www.ppsop.com/site/store.html (external link) which was excellent).

Apart from the technical aspect of photography, I found his book on Learning to See Creatively to be very inspiring and a good learning tool.

Today I've been reading his final book which came by UPS this afternoon- no redundancy, and also excellent.
