Canon 70-200mm F4 L, Tamron 28-75mm 2.8, and Sigma 10-20mm EX
$589 + $350 + $499 = $1438
Ok, so a little over $1200, but 3 great lenses for about the price of 1...

Ok, here we go with my combo:

Tokina 12-24 mm f/4 ATX Pro + Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 EX DG Macro + EF 70-200 f/4 L USM

$499 + $375+$589 = $1463

Uuuyyyy almost the same than Mr. Rhino    :p :p

Cheers

EF 24(28)-70 f/2.8L USM has been a standard mid range zoom for many Canon pro's and amateurs alike.

Another more recent lens which covers very wide range is EF 24-105 f/4L IS USM. It's "only" f/4, however, most people would find that fast enough. Remember, your camera can handle ISO 3200 quite well. Besides, if needed there are always noise removal plugins available.

A wide assortment of zooms and other primes.
What's coming (major stuff only): 5D, 45 TS, 50 f/1.2L
