ordered the 70-200 F4L from B&H. I was thinking about waiting for the rebate, but $30-50 isnt worth the wasted time without this lens. My lens selection is lacking and I figured it was long enough, I had to add something to it. :D

Congrats on the purchase, it was my first L and used lens purchase lol. How do you like that Tamron btw? its either that or 17-40L for me next. Both your lenses im considering.

Thanks guys. I am excited :D.

blue: I chose the tammy over the canon. I was in the same dilema as you are in. The tammy is a good low light lens that takes amazingly sharp shots. I think the canon is a little overpriced and that is what first drew me towards the tamron. Picture quality wise, they are pretty close. All that i know is that i rarely have to add sharpening to a picture. I ended up very happy with my purchase.

If a rebate is what determines your purchase, you should probably just keep your money.

You'll dig that lens...
