A40 128M CF problem

Hi
I have a A40 w/ a SanDisk 128M CF.
When I format it (in the camera) I only get 122.1M
When I take pics/movies and get close to that amount all the files get corrupted and get CF card error.
I have tried another 128M and it only formats to 122.
Does anyone have any suggestions or have the same problem.
