Thanks Les, Dimitri, Frank and Andy. An anorak is now a term used rather than a real thing I think, it's what a trian spotter might wear. Sort of waterproof jacket these days- and they all seem to be RED (or something bright and completely at odds with your shot!)!
Alot of the rivers in Yorkshire, especialy Wharfe, Swale and Ribble, have a high iron content makes them reddsih brown, in summer a nice colour to contrast the white water
