Thanks Les, Dimitri, Frank and Andy. An anorak is now a term used rather than a real thing I think, it's what a trian spotter might wear. Sort of waterproof jacket these days- and they all seem to be RED (or something bright and completely at odds with your shot!)!

Alot of the rivers in Yorkshire, especialy Wharfe, Swale and Ribble, have a high iron content makes them reddsih brown, in summer a nice colour to contrast the white water :)

Cheers J T. Just out of curiosity does a place called Grand Rapids not have some white water running through it?

I missed this one too (there are too many good photos on here that just disappear because of the frequency of new threads). Very nice Neil.

You'd laugh at the "grand" rapids here. Maybe once upon a time there were some nice rapids in the river running through this city, but the may have ceased to exist after a small dam/waterfall (about 10 feet high) was built just north of town.

Here is our "grand" rapids! (not my photo)

Who did you get to do the printing?

I had it done at Jessops, satin finish. They are not the cheapest place but the prints are always of a high quality! Now I need to find a frame that fits.... :|

Wow! 'Jessops' and 'high quality' in the same sentence. Has the world gone mad?

Actually, as I was recently given some Jessops vouchers by the amateur football team I shoot for, I now know what to spend them on. Thanks for the hint. :)

Beautiful shot! You have some lovely scenery in the UK and you do a suburb job of capturing it!
