I like that shot too, but I think that the one you posted shows the rays off to best effect.

The first one reminds me of the Eye-Of-Horus, very Egyptian in nature and esoterical.

The second one is just plain gorgeous, I am waiting for Moses to come out and part the Red Sea or something.

Really like the first image Alan and also the first of the two you posted with the slower shutter speed - the lighting on the crashing wave is very dramatic.
