Got a little bored tonight, so ended up playing around with my strobes. I'll post a photo of my setup if I get chance.

Anyway, here I am.

C&C welcome.

Yeah, I like it too. The only thing I just noticed was some "yellow" showing where you spliced them together. Just clone it out and you have a party of one!

Here are a few snapshots of the setup:

One softbox, and one umbrella (using 100watt strobes) The softbox strobe was on about 60watts and the one on the umbrella at about 80watts.

One shoot through umbrella behind fabric using a Sigma SG 500 Flash unit to light background up.

If I dont, I get a hotspot. The fabric isn't that thick, thick enough not to see through it.

Could do with another light on the floor, but I'm all out of strobes.

I think there is also enough light coming from the front to help blow the background out.

Here you go, an un-editted version. (shot RAW)

As you can see, the top blows out nicely, but there isn't enough light on the floor, need another strobe to do this.

Ok, I have to ask a lame question. How are you getting your BG so white in photoshop... are you using curves? Sorry, I am still learning. Thanks so much for showing your setup!

Dodging.

I am using curves but not to make the background white.

Start with dodging at 5%, then keep going over until the background is white. use as soft and large a brush as possible, obviously a smaller one around the detail, but make sure it is soft.
