Problems with EOS Capture

I have just tried to download my photos from my 350d to my pc but when i plug in the lead and turn on the camera instead of the capture software starting i get an error saying (Camera window) is not compatible with the detected camera can anyone please shed any light on this problem.I am up to date with the camera software and up to date with all drivers and such.Any help would be very gratefull.

wrong forum dude ;) this is the small compact forum, not DSLR.

are you sure you have the correct setting for pc connection? and you dont use EOS capture to download the images, EOS capture is to remote control the camera

In the menus, you should see something that says, PC connection, and somewthing else, PC connection is to use EOS capture, if its in the setting, it will not allow you to pull the images off, and it will not start up EOS Utility, make sure its in the other setting, i dont remember, got rid of my XT
