Does anyone know why I cannot make setting changes when I open the menu. The time is showing ok and I can take pictures with the last good original settings. The 4 way switch has no effect on the menu

If you've tried everything you can think of, I'd suggest pulling the batteries out (don't forget that litte wafer-type battery). Let it sit for a few minutes, re-install the batteries and see if it works. That's the only way to 're-set' the camera that I know of, and if that doesn't work, then I'd say you probably have problems. I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!
