I got mine Thursday, but it looks like I'll have to exchange it for another copy - the left side of my images are very soft at f/1.8 and still not very good until f/5.6 or f/8. The right side is fine. Tom, interesting find. About 2 years back I went through a similar issue with Sigma NY and my 20f1.8. They finally sent it to Sigma Japan and had them assess. I got a brand new one (after a few months time) and it is flawless. But it took some patience. Now I'll be keeping mine for a long time.
