Gee, 3 flashes??
I can see how on bright summer days there might be almost to much light and the need for an ND...

I took this one yesterday at f1.2 with a ND8 filter. AI Servo focusing, of course

Great shots Philco and all.

Phil.... how far from your subject would you say you were while shooting just about wide open? In the first two shots?

Thanks,
Hatch

Not very far really...maybe 4 or 5 feet? You can tell her jawline & earings blur out pretty hard in #2.

Absolutely, sometimes tricky at 1.2, but this is one of the rarer times both eyes were at the same distance and he stopped moving, although he rarely stops moving. Nothing wrong with the single eye in focus effect either.

Not to mention that lens probably dwarfs the body! ;)

That is a ton of glass to hide the XTi body.

when i borrowed this lens for a week i found i had to use it on my 350D, because on my 40D it did weird things to the battery - while focusing, the camera would often just turn off, and when i turned it back on it said low batt - but when i swapped lenses, battery was actually still full!

but on 350D 1 battery lasted for ages as normal

has anyone else had problems like this with the 85L or other camera/lens combos? what is the solution?
