The 85 1.2 AF speed is like an 18 wheel semi truck trying to merge into fast moving traffic from a near complete stop.

lol!

Mainly use the 85 only for portraits but busted out with it on the mountain because I always have it on me.

Geez... she looks WAAAY too young to be a mom... and doesn't even look like she gave birth that long ago. Beautiful images though!

I went to pro photo to rent a 17-40L for this weekend and had to check out the 85L. It was massiv on the T2i they had there but I'm sure it would even out on my gripped 5D2. I'm really excited to get this lens now. October can't get here any sooner! Ohh and I picked up the 50 1.4 a few weeks ago and love it but I'm debating if I should sell it when I get the 85L to purchase the 2-8 Vari filters. I'm buying a 17-40L next week but really needed it this weekend for a shoot and feel like I won't be using the 50 much between having the 17-40 and 85L. Any input?

Hey, I've bought a ton of stuff from ProPhoto but never rented anything -- what kind of lenses to they have for rent there? Any other cool stuff to rent?
