I don't have a second body yet, but I will be investing in one quite soon because of what I do. I had to learn the hard way shooting a /sports/ event last weekend and it was a pain in the arse switching between a 300/4 and 28-75.

It's much more than just "switching lenses" when you're really trying to pay attention to the subjects you're shooting so you don't miss a shot.

i shoot with 2 bodies. generally, for sports, with the 300 2.8 on one, and the 70-200 on the other.
for nature the 400 5.6 on one, and some other lens on the other, whether it be the 70-200, or the wide angle.

If you were a pro, or you were attending an event that you wanted to photograph and needed to go from wide to zoom very quickly, then I would understand. Otherwise, hobby wise, I dont see a reason why you would "need" two bodies.

It's not needed if you're doing it for a hobby.

I do believe it IS needed though if you're doing certain jobs like photojournalism.

Uh, I was REinforcing the fact that it is NOT needed.

It's already obvious that if you're just using it for a hobby, you don't /need/ to buy another body. Thats a no-brainer.
