This 2 were taken in 2 different place. Both @ 4600M, the second one is a salt water lake.

Great shots!Love the colors in both the shots! I think #2 is my fav though :) thanks for sharing!

great colour and contrast on #1. did you use a polarizer?
as for compostion, i would have put more sky and less ground into the frame. the clouds look magnificent

Really like the oncoming storm in the first pic. Please explain what you mean about shooting these at "4600M."

We were in Tibet and that lake there is around 4600m alt. The first picture is around 4000m.
