here is a photo of my little brother
ISO-400 1/10 sec f/4.5 at 95 mm I have been trying to get some portraits in the afternoon light, hints and tips would be much appreciated

I think that looks pretty good - some fill flash might give it a bit more "pop" and I think the image could do with being a little brighter overall...

I like it. Maybe crop slightly to the right (show more ocean) and up the contrast a bit?

Colors look better, I'd still get rid of the pice of log (rock?) in bottom left corner. Cropping would move the eyes of the subject closer to the thirds intersection too.

Tom, i'm not sure about cropping the photo without cutting off a bit of his arm or feet?
